Week 7
This week, the post-film portion of the project has almost been finished regarding editing. It is currently spring break, so my group and I decided we would watch what we have so far and make a list of anything we think needs to be changed to make the final project as perfect as we can. I decided that the lighting needs to be adjusted in a few of the scenes to enhance the emotion that needs to get through to the audience. For example, in the party FaceTime scene, the lights should be made a little brighter and we should add faint music or people talking in the background to make it known it is an event and not "Brad" alone. Also, the outdoor scenes when the Uber arrives, we are walking out, we get in, and it drives away should be made a little darker to show that it is almost dusk and it is a dangerous time for teenage girls to be out alone.
I think the opening credits should be changed to white because they will be seen better. I also added how we still need to agree on a final title for the film. I think "See You Soon" is the best choice because the last thing "Brad" says to the girls right before hanging up the phone is "see you soon". This parallel creates intensity and mystery for the audience. I also think we should add the title before the final scene to switch it up from our midterm and most examples we have seen. If we make the title red with a horror-like font, that will enhance the idea that this movie will be scary. Finally, we could add a racing heartbeat or flatline at the end. This would create the illusion that the girls were murdered and this the rest of the movie would be investigating their death.
